I have two mirror sites, 1 in French, 1 in English. I updates the French site to 3.4 WordPress and everything was fine and working well. I did the same to my English site and the front page sliders, images do not appear?

    Can you help me fix this issue?

    Thank you in advance.

    Can you post a link to your website please. Maybe it’s a javascript issue/error.

    Hey Paul,

    It looks like the images in the slider and everything are showing up fine now. Maybe it was just a cache issue?

    I had someone else fix it for me. Thanks anyway.

    The problem is the version of jQuery used by prettyphoto which is incorporated in the slider.

    The prettyPhoto wordpress plugin does not already supported by the latest version of wordpress.

    The problem I am encountering now is that, the slider does not work IE.

    In Firefox and Chrome, it works but not in IE.

    I’m not sure whats causing the change with IE. I’ve flagged the topic for Kriesi to take a look at but in the mean time can you try disabling all of the plugins you have that are currently active and testing the slider in IE. It may not be related but often times there can be some odd conflicts as a result of plugins.

    Both sites slider are already perfectly working on Firefox, Google Chrome and Safari but not yet in Internet Explorer.

    It seems that prettyPhoto and jQuery has a conflict that started from IE 7-9.

    I already tried all the hack from changing jquery files and prettyPhoto.js.

    I also try to use the meta tag

    to behave as IE 8, it just show only the text description of the slider but not the pictures.

    Any advice??

    You can try to replace the js file here: wp-content/plugins/wp-prettyphoto/js/jquery.prettyPhoto.js with the latest version which is inluded in following zip file:

    Hi, I found this thread and I am having similar problems. I can’t get the front page of my website to be normal with IE. It works great in other browers Safari, Firefox, Chrome.. I installed the file you just posted.. I need help,

    My website is

    A plugin adds following js code before the doctype declaration:

    //
    var disqus_shortname = 'blackstead';
    (function () {
    var nodes = document.getElementsByTagName('span');
    for (var i = 0, url; i < nodes.length; i++) {
    if (nodes.className.indexOf('dsq-postid') != -1) {
    .parentNode.setAttribute('data-disqus-identifier', nodes.getAttribute('rel'));
    url = nodes
    .parentNode.href.split('#', 1);
    if (url.length == 1) { url = url[0]; }
    else { url = url[1]; }
    .parentNode.href = url + '#disqus_thread';
    var s = document.createElement('script'); s.async = true;
    s.type = 'text/javascript';
    s.src = 'http' + '://' + '' + disqus_shortname + '/count.js';
    (document.getElementsByTagName('HEAD')[0] || document.getElementsByTagName('BODY')[0]).appendChild(s);

    I think the plugin has something to do with Disqus. Try to deactivate the plugin to fix the error.

    Cool, it works now.. darn disqus plugin!

    Glad you were able to find the culprit :)
