    Hi,
    I am trying to change the background of the menu and to change the font color of the main menu and also the sidebar text. any help would be greatly appreciated.

    also, its very difficult to search your forum. you cannot specify what theme so it ends up search all themes… this makes it almost impossible to find anything … just a FYI.

    Hey biggatings!

    Please add following code to Quick CSS in Propulsion theme options under Styling tab

    .main_menu ul li a { color: red; }
    .sidebar { color: purple; }
    .main_menu ul:first-child > li > a { background-color: blue; }

    Regards,
    Yigit

    Yigit,
    I was able to figure out how to change the main menu text color (same way you sent). What needs to happen is this:

    The color of the menu bar is black, so the main menu text needs to be white and highlighted menu item (active one needs remain white as well so that it can be seen). The main menu contains 1 drop down menu. So when I change the text to white it also goes white but its background hasnt changed so it makes it impossible to see. Also, I dont need to change the color of the actual side bar. I use custom menu widgets on the sidebar and the text of the custom menu is what I need to change.

    Hope this makes it clearer.

    Thanks

    Hey!

    Please add following code to Quick CSS as well

    .main_menu ul:first-child > li.current-menu-item > a, .main_menu ul:first-child > li.current_page_item > a, #top #wrap_all .current_page_item>a { color: white; }
    #top .main_menu .menu li ul a { color: black!important; }

    Regards,
    Yigit

    Yigit,
    Thanks for this. I am still having an issue. Here is what I did:

    .main_menu {
    float: left !important;
    }
    .main_menu ul li a{ color: white!important;
    font-size:16px;
    }
    .sidebar { color: purple; }
    .main_menu ul:first-child > li.current-menu-item > a, .main_menu ul:first-child > li.current_page_item > a, #top #wrap_all .current_page_item> a {
    color: white!important;
    }
    #top .main_menu .menu li ul a {
    color: black !important;
    }

    But here is my issue:
    The main menu is fine, but the sidebar the text is grey (which I would love to change to black) and the active page is white so you cannot see it.

    So my question is:
    1. How do I change the sidebar custom menu text to Black
    2. How do I change the sidebar custom menu active item to Pink

    Thanks
    Michael

    Hi!

    You’re using a cufon font. You can’t change the style of cufon fonts. Where did you get that? Please select another font.

    Cheers!

    Hi, so I removed the cufon font and I still cannot get the side menu font to be black. It is a very light grey! Please help with this.

    Thanks

    Yigit,
    Here is what I see. I am trying to get either one of 2 things… 1. Make the sidebar black, and the grey text (in the image) white or 2. Make the grey text black so that its visible!

    error

    Yigit,
    great. Now i think this should be the last question. on the home page, I want to put the menu below the slider (which I figured out how to do) but I dont want the position to change on the inner pages. Any idea?

    Hi!

    You can add .home class to apply custom CSS changes only on your homepage as following

    .home .logo { display:none; }

    It would remove logo only on homepage.

    Best regards,
    Yigit
