    When I go into index.php and change the image of one of the columns the other columns do the exact same thing.

    I don’t want to populate the columns with pages either, because I want different text under the images, not the text that happens to be on the page the column is previewing.

    So how can I populate the columns using the “default html” so I can edit it manually while being able to have 3 different images?

    Hey,

    you need to modify index.php to enter your “default html text”. Afterwards go to Display Options > Mainpage Options and select “HTML” for all 3 columns.

    Well that is what I’m doing for the text, but like I said one of the problems I’m experiencing is with the images.

    Every time I put an image that replaces the default one into one of the columns the other 2 columns apply the same image.

    I want all 3 columns to have different pictures. How do I do that? (without using the page preview image solution, because that would require me to populate the columns using “pages”, and therefor I could not edit the text.)

    Hey,

    The code dictating the image path and size is commented out. Replace this code:

    $placeholder_image1 = get_bloginfo('template_url').'/files/medium1.jpg';
    #$placeholder_image2 = get_bloginfo('template_url').'/files/medium2.jpg';
    #$placeholder_image3 = get_bloginfo('template_url').'/files/medium3.jpg';

    $placeholder_image1 = kriesi_build_image(array('url'=>$placeholder_image1,'height'=>'124','width'=>'280'));
    #$placeholder_image2 = kriesi_build_image(array('url'=>$placeholder_image2,'height'=>'124','width'=>'280'));
    #$placeholder_image3 = kriesi_build_image(array('url'=>$placeholder_image3,'height'=>'124','width'=>'280'));

    with this:

    $placeholder_image1 = get_bloginfo('template_url').'/files/medium1.jpg';
    $placeholder_image2 = get_bloginfo('template_url').'/files/medium2.jpg';
    $placeholder_image3 = get_bloginfo('template_url').'/files/medium3.jpg';

    $placeholder_image1 = kriesi_build_image(array('url'=>$placeholder_image1,'height'=>'124','width'=>'280'));
    $placeholder_image2 = kriesi_build_image(array('url'=>$placeholder_image2,'height'=>'124','width'=>'280'));
    $placeholder_image3 = kriesi_build_image(array('url'=>$placeholder_image3,'height'=>'124','width'=>'280'));

    and:

    $placeholder[2] = $placeholder_image1

    with:

    $placeholder[2] = $placeholder_image2

    and:

    $placeholder[3] = $placeholder_image1

    with:

    $placeholder[3] = $placeholder_image3

    Save and upload the modified index.php – all 3 images should display properly afterwards.
