I saw this example and liked it:
I created a custom template and got the main slideshow to work, but it appears on every page, and I only want it to be on the homepage. How can I do that? Also, is the above example using the prettyPhoto plugin, and if so, how would I use that?April 15, 2013 at 3:27 pm #114046
There are a couple different ways of doing it, you can create a page , add a few slides to the page and make sure for each image you set that it should open in a lightbox. Slider settings on the same page should be (fade slider, 6 seconds, rotate on).
Here would be how page settings would look http://i.imgur.com/xwNsKmc.png (the double red box is over location where prettyphoto is set)
And here is how the template settings would look http://i.imgur.com/NkQZUco.png

Thank you for your response. In this example,
I see that after you click a link (such as Happy holidays!), the main slider images go away. How can I get that to happen?April 17, 2013 at 7:28 am #114048
Ohh.. That’s a setting in Angular > Theme Options > Layout & Settings ( http://www.clipular.com/c?5119095=smhnHe08C01SGOYpYOx7zxUaEoY&f=.png )
Last drop down box on the page, has option to not show first image .”Display only single image on overview pages and all slideshow images except the first one on single entries” .. Just select that option and save

That option is already checked. I’m talking about the big horizontal images in the main slider. When I click one of the links for a portfolio section on the homepage, I want the main slider to go away, like what happens in the example I gave above.April 17, 2013 at 2:11 pm #114050
One of the settings in this image http://i.imgur.com/NkQZUco.png , is Portfolio Single Entries, which gives 2 options. The option shown on the image will open up the portfolio item on the same page as the thumbnails via AJAX, while the second option for Portfolio Single Entries, (which you want to select), will open up the portfolio item in its own page.
Eh.. I just read the instructions for that field, and I can understand how it may be a little confusing..
