Hi, this seems like a simple fix but the slider on my home page is huge – probably double.
I have photoshoped the graphics to be exactly 930×340, but dont know what else to do to make the like the demo.
Any suggestions?April 3, 2013 at 7:31 am #113166
I am interested im having the exact same dimensions – or similar – as the slider in you demo site. I know there have been other questions like this but I have tried pretty much everything – and the slider looks to over-bearing – nearly double the size in pixels. I am hoping to have a similar size slider to the one in the demo – but its turning a 930×340 picture into a 1500×660 picture… almost doubling it in size?
Thanks in advance.April 4, 2013 at 7:22 am #113168
The exact dimension used in the fullwidth slider is 1500px (width) and 430px (height). The size can be changed in functions.php, just find this code:
$avia_config['imgSize']['featured'] = array('width'=>1500, 'height'=>430 ); // images for fullsize pages and fullsize slider
Hope this helps.

I’m having the same problem, too big a slider. But when I make the change in functions.php suggested above, nothing happens, it just reverts back to the previous size of 1400 x 450.
I realize there’s another option of making the sliders smaller by changing the option to “adjust to page layout”. But then, the text and titles won’t show up. Can you please advise on how to make the slider smaller and keep the caption option?
Thank you.April 8, 2013 at 12:42 pm #113170
The height of the slider can be changed in the functions.php as Ismael said but you need to re-generate the thumbnails with this plugin for the changes to take effect: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/
Additionally, you can use images that are not as tall and that will make the slider adjust to that height.
