    Greetings!

    We are working on the main top menu and are trying to do two things:

    1) To either stretch the menu to fill the whole width of the menu section or to centre it just below the logo image, which is also centred. Now it’s left-aligned.

    The site is here: http://theuncommonthread.co.uk

    2) We have managed to put the sub-pages under “Shop” section with this Forum’s help, many thanks! ( http://www.kriesi.at/support/topic/modifying-the-velvet-menus ) However, if we click on the “Shop” it “slides” the rest of the menu items to the right.

    How can we keep them fixed horizontally as well?

    Many thanks,

    Ce

    Hi theuncommonthread,

    For the first one you can do a bit of modification to your current css to mimic centering:

    Add this to your custom.css

    .menu-top-container {
    position: absolute;
    width: 930px;
    height: 23px;
    }

    Modify this in your custom.css

    .main_menu .menu {
    position: relative;
    top: 160px;
    left: 2%;
    z-index: 1000;
    }

    For the second issue, I’m really not sure how to fix that without re-doing the entire menus css/structure. I’ll leave the thread open in case anyone else has a possible solution or suggestion since nothing is jumping out at me after doing some considerable tweaking to try and fix the issue.

    Regards,

    Devin

    Hi Devin,

    Many thanks, the menu is now perfectly centred.

    Let’s see if anybody can help with fixing the second issue; if not, might need to put a side menu with all the sub-categories on the Shop page itself.
