    Hey,

    in index.php replace:

    $query_string .= "&showposts=3";

    with:

    $query_string .= "&showposts=1";

    or if you selected “use html” delete following code in index.php:

    <div class="info_box box2">
    <div class="box_image"><!-- insert image here--></div>
    <span class="meta">adipisicing elit, sed do</span>
    <h2>Lorem Ipsum dolor</h2>
    <p>Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipisicing elit, sed do eiusmod tempor incididunt ut labore et dolore magna aliqua. </p>
    <p><br/><br/>Ut enim ad minim veniam, quis nostrud exercitation ullamco laboris nisi ut aliquip ex</p>
    </div>

    <div class="info_box box3">
    <div class="box_image"><!-- insert image here--></div>
    <span class="meta">adipisicing elit, sed do</span>
    <h2>Lorem Ipsum dolor</h2>
    <p>Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipisicing elit.<br/><br/> sed do eiusmod tempor incididunt ut labore et dolore magna aliqua. </p>
    <p>Ut enim ad minim veniam, quis nostrud exercitation ullamco laboris nisi ut aliquip ex</p>
    </div>

    Then add following code to style.css (at the very bottom):

    .info_box .box1{
    width: 900px;
    }

    hey dude

    thanks for the response.

    i have been tinkering with the index.php but have some problems.

    if i edit index.php in google chrome with inspect element and remove the box2 & box3 divs then they are removed from the mainpage and everything is hunky dory apart from the width which i would then do in the style.css.

    but when i go into the twicet theme folder within wp-content i change the index.php and remove the box2 & 3 divs but ti doesnt have any effect.

    am i editing the correct index.php?

    i’m totally confused.

    hold on! i just answered my own question. love it when that happens.

    i needed to set the mainpage options for column 2 & 3 back to ‘html’ for the deletion of the div tags to work.

    for the width i had to go the the small_box section at line 354ish of the style.css and change the width there to 880px to get it right. plus float to center.

    thanks for the help dude.
