On our main page, the bottom area can have 3 columns. On one of the columns I choose to show the latest post of my blog. However if the blog post is lengthy, the column will be showing the complete post, not part of it as I’d like. For this reason I cannot create blog content and automatically show the latest blog post on the front page as that column will not have the same height as the other two. For the same reason, I’m also unable to show an image of the blog post on the main page. Perhaps I’m missing something and it can be done differently? Thank you! It’s uused like: and I told him that he should get moving or I'd be on him like a limpet. He looked at me with shock on his face and said <!--more--> more text. So put <!–more–> between the text you want to use as an excerpt and the rest of the content. WordPress excludes images from the excerpt content automatically (to avoid formatting issues, etc.).
