    Hi,

    I am wanting to make the abundance slideshow smaller (I’m using the aviaslider) and have a left hand sidebar running right up to my top menu. Could you give some guidance as to how best to do this? Essentially, make the slideshow smaller, push to the right a bit and have the sidebar running all the way down the left.

    Site is http://letmelearn.search9.co.uk

    Cheers,

    James

    Hi Search9,

    You will also need to set the Frontpage template in the Template Builder interface to Left Sidebar layout.

    *edit: removed my incorrect solution so no one gets confused later on :)

    Hi,

    Many thanks for this.

    Only issue when using the Fade Slider is that it seems to cut off the top and bottom of the image. I need to be able to display the full image we upload in this space…essentially, same width, however more like 320px as opposed to 200px height.

    Any thoughts?

    Essentially, want to be able to set dimensions of slideshow for this.

    Many thanks again for your help.

    Hey,

    You can change the slideshow/image dimensions in functions.php (I’d only adjust the height value). Afterwards regenerate the thumbnails with: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/

    Hi,

    Many thanks for this … turns out the client likes the thumbnails on the Aviaslider. I have made the required edits to the .css and .js files, however not sure how to get the menu to sit up the top, despite making the slideshow smaller.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Hate to be a pain on this … hoping it’ll be a very quick fix which can hopefully be done today.

    You can decrease the padding top value – add following code to css/custom.css and increase/decrease 20px (the first value) to any value of your choice.

    container.slideshow_big {
    padding: 20px 23px 0;
    }

    Hi Dude,

    Cheers for this … this doesn’t seem to push the menu up into the gap to the left of the slideshow however at http://letmelearn.search9.co.uk

    Your help is appreciated.

    Hi Search9,

    Are you still having the display issue? Just took a look at the link you provided and it looks like you got the sidebar displaying correctly.
