    Just a quick reply,

I have checked with my domain service provider and my enquiry form is working again.

The page facing the issue currently is: https://www.krugerparktours.org/kruger-national-park-safari-packages/

*as soon as page elements are within color sections, they disappear in a while.

You can also see that there is also some issue with the menu.

I presume that the issue is with the cache plugin as everything works fine if it switched off.

    Please assist.

    Hi Johan,

Sorry for the late reply. Could you try updating the theme to the latest version (3.7.1) to see if that helps please? As for your map problem please refer to this: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-register-a-google-maps-api-key/

    Regards,

    Hi Rikard,

Thanks for getting back to me.

I saw in many topics that people downloaded a fresh copy of the theme and uploaded it through ftp. I also did this, utilizing the latest version seemed to work.

After installing the API key, the Google maps seem to be working.

I’m going to check if the problem persists and reply, although everything looks good now!

    Thanks a million!

    Hi Rikard,

I checked to see if everything is working ok, and only one issue:

The menu on the home page is not working nicely, it has extra spaces so one cannot see everything in the menu.

    Please help,

    Johan

    Hi Rikard,

The problem seems to be the Remove render-blocking JavaScript (Beta) setting of wp-fastest cache.

Not a problem on the theme side.

If you can help me with the menu on the homepage to work with this setting enabled, that would be great as it significantly improves page speed on mobile.

    Thankx,

    Johan

    Hi Johan,

Great, glad you got it working.

I’m not sure what you mean by this though:

The menu on the home page is not working nicely, it has extra spaces so one cannot see everything in the menu.

It looks fine on my end using Chrome, could you post a screenshot of the issue and in what browser you are seeing it please?

    Thanks,
    Rikard

    Hi Rikard,

My website problems seemed to have originated from minify javascript settings on wp-fastest cache plugin (which is still indicated as being in beta stages).

Main problems experienced were content disappearing on color section pages such as https://www.krugerparktours.org/kruger-national-park-safari-packages/ , Maps not showing on pages such as https://www.krugerparktours.org/contact-african-safari/ , testimonials not working in color sections and the menu not loading the little arrows on page links. (mainly content on color sections)

If there is any code I can implement to let these problems not occur with the setting enabled in wp-fastest cache, please let me know so my website can be lighting fast again?

    Thank you in advance!

    Johan

    Hi Johan,

It’s difficult to say what is going wrong since your problems originate from a plugin, but I can see the map displaying fine on your one link. The problem of disappearing content is more tricky though, how can we reproduce the problem?

    Thanks,
    Rikard

    Hi Rikard,

Thank you for your helpfulness to get this problem reduced.

The only problem encountered through this active cache beta setting (I have disabled it for now so the content shows) is the fact that the color sections of Enfold use JavaScript; and obviously when compressed the content inside a color section do not show (i.e. they become transparent when viewing in certain browsers – I know this because I tried to copy text from these transparent elements).

Obviously this will have an influence on user experience and understanding and I had to deactivate this beta setting for now.

If I can get some modification to the color section code which might solve this problem that would be highly appreciated, so I can get this awesome fast page speed active for my website.

Please let me know if this would be possible, otherwise I will have to change the design to include less content in the color sections to get the page speed back.

    Thank you in advance!

    Johan

    Hi Johan,

Thanks for the feedback. I’m not sure what you mean the Color Sections using JavaScript though, how is that affecting them? If you are getting transparent text in some browsers then I think it’s only a styling problem, could you point out where we can have a look at that particular problem and in what browser you are seeing them please?

    Rikard

    Hi Rikard,

Thanks for the response. The reason I’m implying JavaScript is because the WP-fastest Cache setting, when enabled is about minifying Java (Beta stages) to increase page speed. We find that when the setting is enabled we see the problem on the following pages:
    Kruger National Park Safaris Page
The Contact us for African Safaris Page
    – The menu on the homepage
    – in Chrome and Microsoft Edge when logged out of WordPress (unless the cache is refreshed, everything works for a few minutes).

    Thanks!

    Hi,

Thanks for the feedback though I’m not sure I will be able to help you out with the problem since it’s due to a third party plugin, and adding to that the plugin functionality is only in beta. Maybe you could try contacting the plugin authors to see if they know what is going wrong?

    Regards,
    Rikard

    Thanks Rikard,

I have made contact with them.

    Kind regards,
