When entering the media library, I see the message “No media files found” and no files appear. I have seen a screen shot from another admin (possibly using an Apple) where the file descriptions appear. In the column for Image Optimizer, I see ·”Could not retrieve file path”

All plugins are up to date, and the issue remains when all plugins were de-activated. All the files appear to be in place in /wp-content/uploads/*.*

This site uses EWWW Image Optimizer, and I am not sure if this is supplied with the theme, or approved by you. So I apologise if this is not your issue.

Larger files no longer upload. I can upload small image sizes, but when using the multi-file uploader, the file uploads, then I get the message “Crunching”, which stays on the page.

Nothing has changed on the server re file size upload. This is a dedicated server, with other domains on it, and PHP Configuration Editor shows
upload_max_filesize : The maximum size of an uploaded file : 256M – but I see files (via FTP) of over 3G – when the upload limit has always been 256M

The site has recently gone over to “secure”, so now all pages are called with “https”. I wondered if this could be the reason for the message “Could not retrieve file path”, but can’t see where it is stored.

It looks like it is the EWWW Image Optimizer. There are a number of people reporting the issue on the plugin page.

However, switching off the plugin doesn’t clear the issue, which is why I didn’t spot it.

    Hi,

Can you please try de-activating all plugins once again and flush browser cache and check if that helps?
Can we also deactivate plugins for testing purposes?

    Best regards,
    Yigit
