    Hi Guys,

    I just managed to create image buttons in the mega menu instead of the text links which looks cool. However, when I go over these image links, the images fades abit and an icon shows up over the image (just like when you go over a picture)

    How can I remove this?

    2nd question:

    I kinda like the idea of images instead of text for links to pages so i wonder if the main navigation text links can also be changed for images. If so, how to do that.

    And final question:

    Is it possible to add an image to the entire megamenu background? (or color, without changing the main navigation background too)

    Thanx guys!

    Hi Mike,

    Try adding the following CSS to your Quick CSS (located under the Styling Tab in the theme options) or the custom.css file in the css folder of your theme files:

    #top .main_menu .image_overlay_effect_inside {
    background: none;

    This will remove the icon from appearing but keep the fade so that it still tells the user they can click on the image like a link.

    To change the main navigation completely to image you would need to target each menu by its ID and then set a an image for it in its place. This isn’t something we would be able to walk you through unfortunately so if you aren’t familiar with html and css, you’ll need to look into a freelance developer.

    For the mega menu background, you can add the following and modify it as needed:

    #top .main_menu .avia_mega div ul {
    background: #333;
    #top .main_menu .avia_mega .avia_mega_div {
    background: #333;
    #top .main_menu .avia_mega div ul .avia_mega_hr {
    background: #333;

    I separated out each element of the sub menu so you can change the color of each if need be.

    Works great! Thanx for the info Devin!

    Glad it is fixed. Devin rocks. :)
