Can you explain how i can change the photo that accompanies my details in the member area. God knows how I got the photo that goes with my member name ????

If you mean in this forum, the image is generated through Gravatar so you can update your image there: http://www.gravatar.com or update your email address to one you have which isn't attached to your Gravatar account.
