If you have troubles since the update to WordPress 4.5 please read this post before opening a new thread.
I would like to have the sub-pages on the menu bar show under a parent page while not having the parent page selectable. Is there a way to make the parent page not selectable on the menu bar? Thanks!
Not if this is acceptable for you but what I would do is go to Appearance > Menus > Custom Links. Next to URL I would type # then next Label I would type whatever the name of my parent page is and click Add to Menu. After that I would add my subpages to the menu.
What that does is set the parent to a null value. While it’s still clickable the link it doesn’t point anywhere.
Hope this helps!
Wow thanks for that bit of info Mya, its been doing my head in for a couple of days. But followed your post and bingo!!
So glad there are people out there to help us newbies (I’m pretty sure we give you the odd headach! ha ha)
