I recently decided to add a menu under our banner, e.g. 'About, Contact, Advertise, Write For Us'. http://touchAholics.com
However, when I added a menu, this was the result:

The menu items repeat themselves behind the banner and the menu is far too long (height-wise, there is a large excess of white space).
Any help is appreciated.

Hey,
you can create two custom main menus - go to Appearance > Menus and create two menus. The top one must be called "First" and the lower menu "Second". A short tutorial about menus can be found here: http://www.kriesi.at/support/topic/i-can%E2%80%99t-create-a-custom-menu-the-menu-behaves-weird
Yes of course. Open up style.css and search for:
.catnav_wrapper{

text-decoration: none;
line-height: 17px;
outline: none;
min-height:30px;
}Adjust the .catnav_wrapper line height (by default it's 50px) and the .catnav li a padding (first and third value - top/bottom padding) and the min height value. At least open up js/custom.js and adjust following code:
if(jQuery(this).height() < 34)
{
jQuery(this).css({height:"34px"});
}Change 34px (standard tab height) to any other value (i.e. decrease it according to your new padding/line height values.
