    Hi!

    Is there a way to display one metabox below the content area? and is there a way to make the metaboxes text areas, instead of lines (so we can use paragraphs?

    Thank you very much in advance.

    Hey,

    open up includes/admin/ and search for following code:

    $elements[] = array(
    "name" => $p_meta['meta'],
    "desc" => "" ,
    "id" => "portfolio-meta-$counter",
    "type" => "text",
    "std" => "",
    "slug" => "portfolio-meta");

    replace it with:

    $elements[] = array(
    "name" => $p_meta['meta'],
    "desc" => "" ,
    "id" => "portfolio-meta-$counter",
    "type" => "textarea",
    "std" => "",
    "slug" => "portfolio-meta");

    2) You can change the position by adjusting following code line:

    $boxes[]    = array( 'title' =>  'Portfolio Meta Information', 'id'=>'portfolio-meta' , 'page'=>array('portfolio'), 'context'=>'side', 'priority'=>'low' );

    Replace context “side” with “normal” and it will be displayed beneath the text editor area.

    Hi, and thanks a lot, cool reply :)

    But this actually changes the position of the fields in the back-end, what I am trying to archive is to display one of the metaboxes below the content in the front-end. Do you know if there is a way of “extracting” lest say the last metabox and displaying that one after the portfolio content?

    Thank you very much again.

    gobian, it goes a little beyond the scope of the support forum to go into detail on this. There’s a great tutorial on this here though. Let us know if you need anything else :)

    You can open includes/admin through your FTP, all recent themes come with this folder, however, they don’t show in the WordPress editor and you’ll have to use an FTP program to browse your server.

    Hey,

    Thanx a lot, I finally solved my problem with this other plugin “Advanced Custom Fields” http://www.advancedcustomfields.com/

    I think it does pretty much the same thing as the one you have pointed me out.

    Thanx again for your reply.
