I´m new to WordPress (used to dotnetnuke) so this is possibly basic WP ?
I have configured WP with my email address for notifications, but i do not get any
I Have tested the contact form and comment on an image, but I do not get any mail notifications.
Is there a config file I have to edit to add server information like pop and smtp? or do I have to install a plugin..
To see comments.. I have to log in to my site. (http://mundsen.no)

this sometimes happens when your mail server isn configured by your webspace provider. I would recommend to you that you contact your server admin or provider and ask them to activate your mail server so that the php function mail() works ;)
I run a dedicated server for my sites but use Google Mail for email. I don't have php mail() installed but use the WP Mail SMTP plugin which requires my email account username and password.
This works fine for me, so if your host can't help give this plugin a go.
