in the blog template there are still some english phrases like “Leave a comment…”. I want to translate this into german. Where can I do this?

    Thank you!

How to set up to leave comments without entering a name, e.mail adress. and where to translate “leave a comment” – is this possible?

    Thank you.

    Hi there,

i already found out, that comments are coded in different php files. I already started translating some of the phrases in the file “comments.php”. But there are still some things to be translated, e.g.:

    – 2 Comments on the entry blog side

    – below the avatar “Reply”

    – “You may use these HTML tags and attributes: …..

    – “Notify me…

    – When cklicking on reply “Leave a reply” or “cancel a reply” </p>

<p>Can you tell me, which file to be modified to make this changes in your great template?</p>

<p>Thank you very much, time is short ;) Need to be online on Feb. 1st :)

    Hey,

a much better way would be to use the po/mo files to translate your theme. You can use tools like poedit or the codestyling po/mo plugin: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/codestyling-localization/

More detailed instructions can be found here: http://www.kriesi.at/support/topic/propulsion-translation-files – however don’t use the german po/mo file from this thread because it’s not intended for flashlight.

    Hi Dude,

this means, Po/mo files are not working together with the flashligth theme – did I get it right?

No, Flashlight supports mo/po files and I recommend to translate these files instead of translating/hacking the php files. The sentence “however don’t use the german po/mo file from this thread because it’s not intended for flashlight” just pointed out that you need to translate the files (which are located in the flashlight/lang) folder by yourself and that you can’t use the german files from here: http://www.kriesi.at/support/topic/propulsion-translation-files because they’re intended for Propulsion and not Flashlight.

Just in case, in order to translate the notify me…. text below the comments, you can find the file subscriptions.php in the jetpack folder in plugins.
