    I would like to modify the top banner in the Choices theme in the following manner:

    1. The banner should be permanent, without the ability to close.

    2. I wish to add my own image in the area of the current ‘x’ that I can link to a page on the site.

    3. I also wish to add some text next to the button I create, e.g. a telephone number.

    Thank you!

    Hi …

    for youre first Point try this code in quick css field in theme options panel:

    .close_info_text {

    display: none;

    Hi johnball,

    You can modify the output for the banner area in function-choices.php. Search for:

    //display a top banner message

    You can modify everything you need on like 649 within that function.

    Thank you for the replies.

    I have managed to edit the CSS enough to show the image that I want, however each time the image is clicked it closes the banner.

    How do I make the image static so it has no link associated with it, i.e. remove the click to close?

    In the file that Devin mentioned above please change line 649 which looks like

    $output .= "<div class='infotext'>$bannerText <a class='close_info_text rounded' href='#close'>x</a></div>";

    to look like

    $output .= "<div class='infotext'>$bannerText</div>";
