If you have troubles since the update to WordPress 4.5 please read this post before opening a new thread.
I’m loving the Choices theme, and am interested in finding a way to pull in a custom post type and its custom fields into three columns for my frontpage template. So instead of having a column pull all posts by category, I’d like it to pull all Features (custom post type) by custom taxonomy (Concerts, say).
I’d prefer to do this using the template builder and CPTs instead of posts, and modifying whatever I have to to get it to work, but am open to other suggestions, as well.
Unfortunately the theme framework does not support custom post types at the moment and Kriesi just added an option for portfolio posts (hardcoded post type + taxonomy) and “standard” posts/pages. You’d need to change some files in the framework folder and register-admin-dynamic-options.php to modify the template builder options. Depending on your php skills you maybe need to hire a freelancer/php coder for this task. You can also try the ether content plugin: http://codecanyon.net/item/ (Purchase code hidden if logged out) /1690784 but I’m not sure if it supports custom post types.
