Hi Kriesi,

I am developing a new website for photographers (http://www.photographersreviews.co.uk/) and I have a small problem. Perhaps I am missing something....?

When I create a portfolio item to be displayed on this page http://www.photographersreviews.co.uk/photography-videos/ if I add more content to the item but put it after a 'more ta#g, it still displays on the page above of all the videos, not just the short snippet that I have at present. Which is a bit of a pain….

How do I get around this anomaly? Which is not indicative of the function ‘more tag’ within WordPress?

Any suggestions would be appreciated?

Hi Seodaddy,

Broadscope uses the_excerpt instead of the_content for portfolio items so you can use the excerpt field to fill in brief's of the content.

You could also modify the theme files for the main portfolio overview in includes>loop-portfolio.php. Search for:
<?php the_excerpt(); ?>

Right under the entry-content div and change it to
<?php the_content(); ?>

This should make the more tag work as usual.

Hey!

You can use the "excerpt" field to change the text content of the excerpt. The excerpt option field can be found on the portfolio entry editor page (underneath the visual/html text editor).
