My portfolio single entry does not open when I click on thumbnail.

Hello, I am not a programmer & this is my first installed theme but I am very familiar with using themes on Wordpress.com, so I am familiar with navigating the dashboard. I think I pretty much have this theme figured out but I can not figure out why my Portfolio Single Entry is not showing up when the thumbnail is clicked. I have it set to open on the same page and even tried to have it open on a separate page and nothing. Please help.

Hey,
I think this is a permalink issue (some other pages return 404 - Not Found Errors too). Go to Settings > Permalinks and check your permalink settings. Click on "Save" and reload/refresh the permalink settings page.

What permalink setting should I have it on? Right now it's on default.

Another problem I have, is the portfolio images are not loading when I have hovers on the default "greyscale". All I get are the spinning wheels. When I turn off the hover, the thumbnail shows up but not loading the single entries or enlarged images. Could this be related?
