Ok I found the problem and I suspected so.

Sometimes css is NOT rewritten by customs.css. I don t know why but sometimes I need to put my custom code at the bottom of the Style.css instead of in Custom.css.

Don t ask me why but I have noticed this with several themes

Really strange - I didn't notice this behaviour yet. Maybe it's a browser cache/server cache problem. Glad that you found a solution :)
