    Hi,

    getting a bit lost!

    All I want to do is create blog posts that have one featured image.

    That image then gets displayed on the blog page and category pages and the post page without it getting re-sized and looking awful!

    I don’t want a slideshow on the blog post page.

    How do I do this please?

    If I add one image to slideshow on post edit page; that’s ok, but when I look at Category page or post page, the image is blown up to something like 500px square? (guessing) and looks awful!

    Is there a certain size for the image?

    I don’t want a really large image on my posts!

    Help!

    Thanks

    Mark :)

    Hello,

    You can change the image size on functions.php.

    $avia_config['imgSize']['fullsize'] 		 	= array('width'=>930, 'height'=>930, 'crop'=>false);		// big images for lightbox and portfolio single entries
    $avia_config['imgSize']['featured'] = array('width'=>990, 'height'=>400 ); // images for fullsize pages and fullsize slider

    Change the height and width. You need to regenerate or re upload the images.

    Ismael

    Thanks Ismael.

    So this impacts the images used on all other site pages, like the ones I’ve already created for homepage slider?

    Is it possible to have smaller images just for blog posts & category pages somehow?

    Just wondered if there was a way around this?

    I don’t really want my home page slideshow to have much smaller images if I want my just blog image to be say 400 x 280 for example?

    Thanks

    Try following – open up choicesincludeshelper-post-format.php and replace all ocurrences of:

    $current_post['slider']->setImageSize('fullsize');
    $current_post['slider']->modify_slide_poster("default");

    with:

    if( is_home() || is_front_page() )
    {
    $current_post['slider']->setImageSize('fullsize');
    }
    else
    {
    $current_post['slider']->setImageSize('blogpost');
    }
    $current_post['slider']->modify_slide_poster("default");

    Then open up functions.php and replace:

    $avia_config['imgSize']['fullsize'] 		 	= array('width'=>930, 'height'=>930, 'crop'=>false);		// big images for lightbox and portfolio single entries

    with:

    $avia_config['imgSize']['fullsize'] 		 	= array('width'=>930, 'height'=>930, 'crop'=>false);		// big images for lightbox and portfolio single entries

    $avia_config['imgSize']['blogpost'] = array('width'=>630, 'height'=>330, 'crop'=>true); // big images for lightbox and portfolio single entries

    and adjust the image size of the “blogpost” image size.
