Since a lot of my products just have minimal differences, google will see them as duplicate content. (I can not use attributes, they have to be single products!) So I want to remove the link rel=’canonical’ out of my headers (I don’t know if they go there by WP, WC or Replete) and set them manually on product level. What do you think, should/can I do this via custom fields or is it better to use a plugin? I ask because I’m affraid that may be a plugin destroys/corrupts the other microdata formats (rich snippets) which doing very well at the moment. Just the canonical link is not good for me! Thanks for your ideas Tom January 16, 2013 at 8:39 am #103616 DudeModerator Hi! I’d use WP SEO by Yoast: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wordpress-seo/ in this case. You need to adjust some code in header.php though – see: http://www.kriesi.at/support/topic/increase-seo Regards, Peter Author Posts Viewing 2 posts - 1 through 2 (of 2 total) The topic ‘need tipps on duplicate content and rel='canonical'’ is closed to new replies.
