No auto-scaling on front slider images

The pictures in my front slider is 920x240 px as described in the Display PDF.
Why aren't they auto-scaled to the correct size? You only see whats in the upper left corner.

Hey,
the image size should be 940px × 420px for the flash slider. The drawback of the flash slider is that it can't resize images but it will show a red area/stripe if the image doesn't fit. However at the moment the slider displays correct for me....
