Hi, I´m new using WordPress an the coalition theme, so sorry when I ask somthing I should know ;-)

There are no images showed somewhere in the sides, even the dummi data images are not shown. Although the Images are there, when I go to the Mediathek and klick on edit I can see them.

The only thing I can see in the blog is in the portfolio the “video directly embedded. What´s wrong there??

Thanks a lot for your Help!

Sorry, I meant no images displayed.

When I click on the place where the image should be I get this:

“Image cannot be loaded. Make sure the path is correct and image exist”

The images are in the folder “wp-content/uploads”

    Hi!

Hey! Did you try uploading and using your own images? Sometimes some server settings prevent the theme from properly using/importing the demo content.

    Best regards,

    Kriesi

    Hi,

    thanks for your reply!

Yes, I tried to upload my own images. They are located then in the same place as the demo-images. WordPress is also correct creating all the sizes.

    Hi again,

the Problem is solved with the help of a plugin :-)

I just installed the plugin “change uploaded file permissions” and everything works fine now!

    Kind regards, rianga

    Hey Rianga,

I’m glad you were able to get things working for you :)

Also a big thanks for posting your solution. It really helps out everyone when people do that.

Hi, it´s me alredy again ;-)

unfortunately I have been a little to quick to say everything´s working fine.

Only ALMOST everything – the slider is not working :-( .

The images are there, I can even click in the slider when I link the foto to the Lightbox

and open it. All the pictures as they should…. but NOT in the slider.

If anybody has an idea, please reply. I just want to get started.

    Hey Rianga,

Do you have the site online so that we can take a look at it live? Also, have you tried creating your own slider entries yet? Give that a try if you haven’t.

Also try disabling any plugins you might have running to see if one of them is maybe causing a conflict.

    Hi Devin,

I tried to create my own Slider Entry (it´s still there), and I have no plugins running except the one I posted above, that I can see my pictures at all.

You can take a look here: http://outdoor-perspektive.de

    Thank you for your reply!

    Hey Rianga,

Can you try using smaller images? I think you might running into issues purely with how long it takes a single image to load. For instance, the image of the alligator image alone is 5mb.

    Hi Devin,

    I´m sorry for that.

I tried to use smaller Images in the Past and it wasn´t working too.

But I changed the images in smaller now in the “slider test seite”

I put some other smaller images in the gallery and the portfolio soon.

    Hi Rianga,

It looks like you need to check the permissions settings for your wordpress image folders. I think the script to re-size your images is not being allowed to save the new resized images. If you contact your host, they can probably direct you in changing the settings to allow wordpress to create and save the different sizes of images.

    See: http://outdoor-perspektive.de/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/20080225_5755-610×255.jpg

vs just the raw image: http://outdoor-perspektive.de/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/20080225_5755.jpg

    Hi Devin,

So did that plugin not solve all the problems with the permissions…

I´ll contact my host tomorrow and hope they will help me even on saturday ;-) And if it´s possible I´ll post my solution then.

Thank you so much for your help!

    Best regards

    Hi,

at last i got help from my host.

The Problem was indeed that the file /wp-content/uploads/ had not the required read/write permissions.

Unfortunately I don´t know what the guy has done in detail, but it needed only 2 minutes to make it work :-)

    Regards

    Rianga
