I am also having a problem with the images not appearing, but links to the instead being in the slider.

Hey,
I noticed you changed your site theme. Earlier today your site did use the Shoutbox - do you plan on keeping the theme you've installed now? The sidebar issue shouldn't occur on a clean installation, have you tried deactivating your plugins one by one to see if one interferes?
