I analysed my site http://naranili.de with Google Pagespeed.
PageSpeed Alerts that the Slider needs images in 610*246 but uses images in 990*400.
It’s possible to add the needed image-sizes to speed up the site ?
The best way to go about it, is to first install the Simple Image Sizes plugin ( http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/simple-image-sizes/ ). The plugin will give you complete control over all images in the theme -from aspect ratio, to width, whether to crop the image, and even has a built in thumbnail re-generator.
After installing the plugin, you will find your Settings > Media page in the back-end to contain the various sizes. Then simply find the dimensions you want to change. Save. Regenerate the images and see if you like what you see or want to tweak the image sizes further.
Hi Nick !
The used Slider Image Size of 621×246 isn’t something WP reletated.
Only Choices needs this size but doesn’t create the needed image size.
How should it happen that i setup a new image size at the media-settings of WP and the choices Slider use this settings ?
I think there are also some code changes needed at the choices-theme needed.
Please follow the instructions in my previous post and you will see additional image size options that are theme specific. One of the options will in Settings > Media will be for the slider size and the adjustment should be made there. Humor me and try my advice please.
