i 've installed newscast on a fresh install (word press 3.3.1).
I ve also put the cache directory in 777 as it's wrote in the documentation.
When i write a new article, there's no the "set thumbnail" on the post Thumbnail
so, i can't use the slide.

it seems like you could set a featured image for this article: http://www.netandcom.be/?p=1 - did you solve the problem? Maybe a plugin removes the "set thumbnail" option?
