We’ve just noticed something a little buggish with our store.
On a desktop ( Chrome 27, iMac ) when choosing the size ( variation ) for a product on an individual product page all sizes show up correctly however on an iPhone ( any, might be the same for other mobiles ) only the first size shows up the first time you tap into the dropdown and only on the second attempt to select a size does it show all the different sizes.
I’ve checked with the developer tools and on desktop once you click the dropdown it quickly adds the other variations into the dropdown and once you have chosen one the variations other than the one you have chosen disappear from the page. Screenshot :
However on an iPhone once you tap to select which size only the one size is shown and [em]then[/em] it adds the other sizes into the markup, however the iPhone has already shown its dropdown selection with only the one variation in at this point. Here’s two screenshots, the first is before any taps or clicks :
https://www.dropbox.com/s/f3a5pazm64rlsvs/iphonebefore.png and the second screenshot is after the first tap into the dropdown ( I’m assuming this triggers the other variations to be added into the markup, however this happens “too late” for the iPhone to show them)
Any help? I don’t know what exactly is setting this off otherwise I’d be more inclined to start looking into it a bit more.
Is this the Replete theme or is this woocommerce that controls the dropdowns?June 12, 2013 at 1:27 am #123919
We will need to see the site live to be able to test out the functionality and inspect the code as it happens. If you can provide a link, we can dig a bit deeper and see what can be done to help.

Thanks in advance,

Can you try switching to one of the default wordpress themes (twenty twelve etc) and testing it out with an iphone again. I *think* it might just be the way woocommerce loads in the variation options.

Sorry for the delay. Sorry I hadn’t tried this before, yes the same thing happens on Twenty Twelve and so is a woocommerce issue. Any idea how to fix this? Has anyone mentioned this before?

If you know how to use github go to woo pages on there and report a bug. I think that would be the best way to go about. https://github.com/woothemes/woocommerce
We are looking at the problem, but your best bet is to make their team be aware what is happening.

I’ll update this thread but I’ve opened an issue if anyone else wants to follow along :

Just an update for anyone else who gets this problem:
This only occurs when a default variation has been chosen ( in this case size ).
To fix it, don’t set a default size/colour/etc!July 3, 2013 at 8:27 am #123927
