    Hi Guys,

OK, so I’m redesigning the site with a structure very similar to the one page portfolio demo. I would like for the page to scroll smoothly to the correct section when a user clicks on the button on the menu, but so far I have been unable to make it work. The page is set up with colour sections anchored by labels in the ‘For Developers: Section ID’ and I’ve built a new menu with #sectionID entered in the ‘Link Relationship (XFN)’ box on the menu builder – I couldn’t see where else I would enter it? I have updated the code in avia.js and Custom CSS field as suggested in this thread:

So where am I going wrong?!

    Hi Catchycopy!

Make sure your using the latest version of Enfold, 3.2.3, and make sure your URL looks like this.

    http://www.yoursite.com/#sectionID

The link relationship field is for the “rel” tag.

If your still having trouble then try deactivating all plugins and send us a link to your page so we can take a look.

    Cheers!

    Hi Elliot,

I’m sure I’m probably just being really dense but where would I set the URL to include ‘/#sectionID’?

I’ve got a pricing table from a thrid party plugin running on the page with a button set to #sectionID to a different section and it scrolls beautifully to the correct point, it’s just (infuriatingly) the menu that doesn’t – even after disabling all my plugins. I haven’t removed the code from the avia.js taken from the other support thread, is that likely to be causing an issue?!

    Hey!

I think it will help if you read the documentation about single page navigation. You can find it here: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/add-anchors-to-your-page-for-single-page-navigation/

You don’t need to modify any files.

    Ismael

    Hi Ismael,

I came across that document a while ago but it’s not exactly comprehensive (!). I have put anchors in the section id, and they must work on some level because there are buttons on my pricing table that scroll nicely to them, but how do I format a menu so that users can navigate to them directly from the menu at the top of the page?

    Hi!

I tried logging into the backend but the details seem to not work, could you check please?

    Hi Rikard,

Sorry, I deleted the user when I thought it wasn’t necessary. I know the anchors work because I’ve got buttons on the full-screen slider that work so it’s just the menu that I’m having problems with. I’ve attached a screenshot of the menu set up I’m looking at, please can you just tell me which field I need to put http://www.catchycopy.co.uk/#sectionID in?

    Thanks

    Emma

    Hey!

Navigate to Dashboard > Appearance > Menus. In the left hand side you’ll see a section for “Custom Links”. Add a custom link to your menu and then click on the dropdown arrow to view it’s settings. For the “URL” option add your domain name and the section ID at the end like so.

    http://www.yoursite.com/#sectionID
