hi there – first of all, I am not sure if this is a theme specific question or if it is a basic wordpress issue.

to install a one page solution I have created a page (‘start’) which is displayed as the following http://mydomain.com/start
In my WP backend I can provide the webpage title and subline… so far so good.

Now I went ahead and started to optimize the SEO for the webpage (using Yoast SEO).. But what I have right now is the homepage not to be http://mydomain.com/ but http://mydomain.com/start instead – which is logical since the one oage is running under the ‘start’ page… but the sad thing is, that all the date I now do add to the main page is added to the http://mydomain.com/start… so it appears in the search engine…

so basically the question is: do I have to work with http://mydomain.com/start instead of http://mydomain.com because of its obvious reasons?

any hint or idea is very appreciated…
    thanks

    Hey aovivo!

In Dashboard > SEO > Titles & Metas > Home you should be able to set a separate title and description from your startup page.

    Best regards,
    Elliott
