Okay, so I’m setting up an ecommerce with eshop and I am creating the product pages in PAGES not POSTS, and for this reason there were no categories available for pages, so I downloaded a plugin which allowed me to do so.
SO, I wish to have a widget column in my eshop that allows me to shop by BRAND, but when I choose the categories, I can see all my blog categories too.
My question is, is there a way to CHOOSE which categories you display on certain widgets or pages?
FURTHER: Is there a way to edit the category page?
I’m not actually familiar with the plugins you are using so I’m not quite sure how they are manipulating categories/content. What you could do, is create a custom menu with the Menus manager that holds the categories you want to display. Then add a custom menu widget to the area you want that menu to appear and then select it. This way, you have absolute control over what items appear in that area.
