    Hi,

I am trying to develop images for when a visitor shares via Facebook a page on my website.

Sometimes this is landscape rectangular, and other times it is a 1:1 square.

What size do I need to make the image, and is there a way to set this?

    Thanks.

    Hi eviang!

I think you should try out Yoast SEO plugin, as it has such functions.

I currently use that plugin, but I also use the ‘Social Share Buttons’ content element that I believe extracts the relevant image from a different source.

I wish to define this image, which I believe is done so as the ‘Featured Image’. Is this correct, and if not, where do I define this picture (sometimes it takes a different image from the page instead of the image i specify as the Featured Image).

And what are the dimensions this image needs to be?

    Thanks.

    Hi!

the theme does not provide such functions, that is why you need to find a plugin which does this job for you. Yoast should be able to do this I think. Ask Yoast support or “Social Share Button” support about it if you need help with it.

I will investigate further with Yoast support and other plugin options, but nonetheless ‘Social Share Buttons’ are a content element of the Enfold theme, and they must be extracting the source of the image they use when sharing from somewhere as well as cropping these to particular dimensions.

Could you please let me know where it is referencing these images from and the dimensions it will be cropping them to.

    Thanks.

    Hi!

ALB’s social share buttons are using WordPress default functions. If you want to customize it’s functions, then you need to use Yoast SEO plugin.

    Best regards,
    Andy
