If you have troubles since the update to WordPress 4.5 please read this post before opening a new thread.
I’m concerned that my images are not large enough in many cases to make good use of the full screen aspects of the Flashlight theme, begging the question: What size images had I better prepare to use Flashlight optimally?
i.e. are the sizing options in WP enough to optimize, I doubt it.
And what about file size, will big files impact user experience of my website visitors?
I’d use images between 1000 and 1500px because this is a good compromise between quality and data/loading performance. Yes, big files impact user experience because the site loading time increases and (in the worst case) some users won’t even see the images (older browsers like IE6/7 have problems to display images with a big file size).
