    Go to:

    http://revamp.metropolitandetail.com/?page_id=1074

    There’s alot of white in space in the horizontal column (with product search, cart, etc.) and despite my custom.css mods of:

    #top.page-id-1074 .widget {

    clear: both;

    float: none;

    overflow: hidden;

    padding: 0 0;

    position: relative;

    }

    The padding of the widgets in the columns after I upload the file to ftp is still set at:

    .widget {

    clear: both;

    float: none;

    overflow: hidden;

    padding: 30px 0;

    position: relative;

    }

    and that’s even when I copy and paste my 0 0; settings from firebug.

    any ideas? Thanks

    Hello,

    Try placing “important” on each style.

    Hello,

    Please drop this on your custom.css.

    .widget {
    padding: 0!important;
    }

    Clear browser history then reload the page.

    didn’t work. also, please keep in mind I need to make the page specific. So it would look like this:

    /* BOUTIQUE */

    #top.page-id-1551 .widget {

    clear: both;

    float: none;

    overflow: hidden;

    padding: 0!important;

    position: relative;

    }

    the reason it must be page specific is because it only want this padding for my horizontal sidebars as seen on any of my boutique pages:

    http://revamp.metropolitandetail.com/?page_id=1551

    I can’t make an over all .css mod or it will make the padding on my normal side bars change. They are to remain at 30px:

    http://revamp.metropolitandetail.com/?page_id=888

    It seems that the over riding .css command is in style.css @ line 636 which reads:

    .widget {

    clear: both;

    float: none;

    overflow: hidden;

    padding: 30px 0;

    position: relative;

    }

    but remember, that command is good for my normal side bars. I plan on changing the padding specifically for every boutique page I have.

    Thanks

    see, I also can’t just make the widget command in style.css 0 and then make a side bar widget one either because when i make the overall widgets 0 like you suggested it screws with my other widgets all over the site which I have in more places than just sidebars.

    I really need to just isolate those 4 widgets in the horizontal column I’ve created.

    figured it out. for some reason if I put the custom.css mods I was using much closer to the beginning of my custom.css document it seems to work before the template begins to read style.css and it overrides it!

    Hello,

    Glad you found the solution. I apologize for the mistake.
