    Hi

    This problem is back again, and this time I really would like to know how to sort this problem out correctly.

    This is the test portfolio page: http://onexhub.com/portfolio-2/

    Whenever I click on any one of the portfolio entries I get a “page not found”. My web.config is the standard web.config for a multi site install as suggested by the [tools]->[network] page:

    <?xml version=”1.0″ encoding=”UTF-8″?>

    <configuration>

    <system.webServer>

    <rewrite>

    <rules>

    <rule name=”WordPress Rule 1″ stopProcessing=”true”>

    <match url=”^index.php$” ignoreCase=”false” />

    <action type=”None” />

    </rule>

    <rule name=”WordPress Rule 2″ stopProcessing=”true”>

    <match url=”^([_0-9a-zA-Z-]+/)?files/(.+)” ignoreCase=”false” />

    <action type=”Rewrite” url=”wp-includes/ms-files.php?file={R:2}” appendQueryString=”false” />

    </rule>

    <rule name=”WordPress Rule 3″ stopProcessing=”true”>

    <match url=”^([_0-9a-zA-Z-]+/)?wp-admin$” ignoreCase=”false” />

    <action type=”Redirect” url=”{R:1}wp-admin/” redirectType=”Permanent” />

    </rule>

    <rule name=”WordPress Rule 4″ stopProcessing=”true”>

    <match url=”^” ignoreCase=”false” />

    <conditions logicalGrouping=”MatchAny”>

    <add input=”{REQUEST_FILENAME}” matchType=”IsFile” ignoreCase=”false” />

    <add input=”{REQUEST_FILENAME}” matchType=”IsDirectory” ignoreCase=”false” />

    </conditions>

    <action type=”None” />

    </rule>

    <rule name=”WordPress Rule 5″ stopProcessing=”true”>

    <match url=”^([_0-9a-zA-Z-]+/)?(wp-(content|admin|includes).*)” ignoreCase=”false” />

    <action type=”Rewrite” url=”{R:2}” />

    </rule>

    <rule name=”WordPress Rule 6″ stopProcessing=”true”>

    <match url=”^([_0-9a-zA-Z-]+/)?(.*.php)$” ignoreCase=”false” />

    <action type=”Rewrite” url=”{R:2}” />

    </rule>

    <rule name=”WordPress Rule 7″ stopProcessing=”true”>

    <match url=”.” ignoreCase=”false” />

    <action type=”Rewrite” url=”index.php” />

    </rule>

    </rules>

    </rewrite>

    </system.webServer>

    </configuration>

    Why is it that portfolio posts are being so problematic with permalinks? What would be the best permanent fix for this problem?

    BR,

    Rhoel

    Can anyone give any helpful suggestions please? All permalinks in the website works, EXCEPT for the individual portfolio entries… I don’t know why.

    I’ve tried:

    1. Flushing the permalinks by going into the ;permalinks menu]

    2. Saving permalinks again using the format /%year%/%monthnum%/%day%/%postname%/

    3. changing my web.config back to the default as suggested in [tools]->[network] (WP running on multisite mode)

    But still, it seems that EVERYTHING ELSE works EXCEPT for the individual portfolio pages. What’s so different about the portfolio that it’s the only thing not working with permalinks? I’m really stumped… please help…
