    Hi – I am trying to change the page title from DETAILS, which is what is being displayed when an individual blog post is clicked. I tried the solution mentioned in this post (http://www.kriesi.at/support/topic/changing-permanent-link) but it did not change.

    Any other suggestions?

    Thanks!

    Hey,

    Edit includes > helper-post-format.php, find this code:

    function avia_default_title_filter($current_post)
    {
    $output = "";
    $output .= "<h2 class='post-title ". avia_offset_class('meta', false). "'>";
    //$output .= "<h2 class='post-title'>";
    $output .= " <a href='".get_permalink()."' rel='bookmark' title='". __('Permanent Link:','avia_framework')." ".$current_post['title']."'>".$current_post['title'];
    $output .= " <span class='post-format-icon minor-meta'></span>";
    $output .= " </a>";
    $output .= "</h2>";

    $current_post['title'] = $output;

    return $current_post;
    }

    Change this line:

    $output .= " <a href='".get_permalink()."' rel='bookmark' title='". __('Permanent Link:','avia_framework')."

    Regards,

    Ismael

    Hi,

    are you using the latest version of the theme? The avf_title_args filter won’t work with older versions. In addition you maybe need to change the text string – this code

    add_filter('avf_title_args', 'fix_single_post_title', 10, 2);
    function fix_single_post_title($args,$id)
    {
    if ( $args['title'] == 'Blog - Latest News' )
    {
    $args['title'] = get_the_title($id);
    $args['link'] = get_permalink($id);
    }

    return $args;
    }

    will only work if the blog headline is “Blog – Latest News”. If it’s different in your case (eg “DETAILS”) use

    add_filter('avf_title_args', 'fix_single_post_title', 10, 2);
    function fix_single_post_title($args,$id)
    {
    if ( $args['title'] == 'DETAILS' )
    {
    $args['title'] = get_the_title($id);
    $args['link'] = get_permalink($id);
    }

    return $args;
    }

    I think I made an error in my question; I think I meant HEADING, not title…

    The site under construction is: http://sundialdev.com/maxsonautomatic/case-studies/maxson-dfk-sheeter/

    If you click on any of the items in that page, you’ll see that the heading is DETAIS – this happens throughout the site on any blog post. I don’t recall editing a file and changing that, but it is possible that I did.

    Thanks again for your help!!

    Please try to insert following code at the bottom of functions.php

    add_filter('avf_title_args', 'fix_single_post_title', 10, 2);
    function fix_single_post_title($args,$id)
    {
    if ( strtolower($args['title']) == 'details' )
    {
    $args['title'] = get_the_title($id);
    $args['link'] = get_permalink($id);
    }

    return $args;
    }
