Hi. I have a website thechiqboutique.com and for some reason my pictures will show and then disappear on the product page. Any idea why this may be?

I have the same problem with IE8 on the site http://www.rosenrot.at

    Have you got any idea?

    Many thanks.

Hi Caesar. I saw on another help forum to add the below line in the top portion of your header.php file. it worked but it distorts the Admin bar and header banner on the top of the page. I then tried moving it to the bottom and it went back to the pictures disappearing

    meta http-equiv=”X-UA-Compatible” content=”IE=EmulateIE7″ /

If you add the above make sure to add the “< >” on the ends

Devin or Kriesi – any help here?

First try updating your theme to the most recent version available from you downloads on themeforest. For yours Bernd, its showing a much older version so I can’t be certain whether this is an already fixed issue or something else.

Give that a try and if you have a link to your site kmricketts, we can take a look further.

Hi Devin, I updated to 1.6 and still have the same issue. Please help!

Any ideas on what to do next?

Try removing the IE7 code you added into the header. Looking at the demo site, there aren’t any issues with IE8 on the catalog pages so it may come down to a plugin causing a conflict.

Many thanks for your reply, Devin.

The problem I can see with updating the theme is, that I have changed and deleted some lines in the propulsion editor (yes I know I shouldnt do that). But I didnt like the social media icons, I have changed the footer also and so on. This took me a long time (I am graphic designer – with html basic basics – and no programmer) so what I think is, when I will change to another theme, delete the propulsion theme, install the newes one and reactivate it (as you said) my work will start nearly at the beginning again …

Is there a chance to add a line as kmricketts wrote (also thank you for reply, by the way)?

    Hey Bernd,

Take a look at the version.rtf when you download the new theme package from themeforest. It will tell you exactly which files were updated and need to be replaced. You can then unzip the theme folder and upload+replace just those files and folders that were updated in the recent versions of the theme.

If one of them is a file you have modified, just keep it as a backup and re-apply your changes by comparing the two.
