If you have troubles since the update to WordPress 4.5 please read this post before opening a new thread.
i see that there are language files in french as in .po .mo extensions, i want to use the french… what do i doooooo?
1) Please use a tool like Poedit to translate the files.
2) Download the latest version of the translation files here: http://www.mediafire.com/?ohoma6z5m5m85t8 and open the po file with Poedit. Translate the file (all text strings) and save the result as fr_FR.po and fr_FR.mo. Afterwards upload BOTH files into the wp-content/themes/choices/lang folder.
thanks man but for canada french its ca_FR so i should use that? and do i have to go into the wp-config by any chance and implement that file name too?
Tbh I’m not sure if there’s a special language “shortcode” for Canada. A list of all supported languages can be found here: http://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_in_Your_Language
I can only find fr_FR: http://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_in_Your_Language#French_-_Fran.C3.A7ais_.28fr_FR.29
Yes you need to change the language in wp-config.php too. I’d simply install the French wp version: http://fr.wordpress.org/
