Hi,

it would be very lovely to get the Portfolio Categories sorted not alphabetically, but in individual order.
To get a workaround for that, would it be possible to let it get sorted by the timestamp the category was created?

i mean the order the sort-by-categories-buttons are displayed

That can be done by adding a shuffle function to template_portfolio.php.

Edit: Sorry the line number won't match because I used Avisio template files to solve your problem. But Cleancut and Avisio share many functions and huge parts of the framework, so I think that you'll find the same code in your template_portfolio.php.

From line 52 to 56 you'll see following code:
```
foreach($categories as $category)
	{
	$output .= "<a href='#'>category_nicename."_sort'>".$category->cat_name."</a>";
	}
```
.

before line 52 paste following code (so before foreach($categories as $category) paste following):

shuffle($categories);

At the end it should look like:
```
shuffle($categories);

foreach($categories as $category)
	{
	$output .= "<a href='#'>category_nicename."_sort'>".$category->cat_name."</a>";
	}
```
The function will shuffle the categories and so you'll see them in a random order. Just modify the php file and upload it via FTP to your themes/avisio directory.

Broadscope Question:

On Portfolio page the portfolio categories menu on the left by default is ordered alphabetically.
Can you sort the categories in the portfolio alphabetically by the slug name rather than the name of the portfolio category?
I basically want to specifically order the portfolio categories.

Broadscope Question 2:

My previous post is in regards to the order of the portfolio categories menu on the left.

I also would like to know how to do what this post addressed expect for the Broadscope theme:

I would like all of the portfolio posts to be arranged by name by default and also remove the date/name sort option on the bottom of portfolio menu

Hey,
1) No - as far as I know this is not possible without some custom query code. WordPress allows you to order your items by date or title only: http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/query_posts

2) Follow the instructions here: http://www.kriesi.at/support/topic/alphabetical-portfolio-order#post-27920

3) Add following code to css/custom.css:
```
.sort_by_val{
display: none !important;
}
```
