I want my portfolio category archive to show a full list of all items in a certain category. Currently, it shows only 10 items not even a pagination.
Take this category archive for example: http://www.fotocubano.com/portfolio_entries/alberto-korda/
It should list items such as http://www.fotocubano.com/photo/fidel-castro-alberto-korda-5/ which is clearly tagged as “#by: Alberto Korda” and should show up in the above mentioned archive.
How can I get this to work? Am I wrong in thinking that this is the expected behaviour of an archive page?
You are not wrong, and such behavior can be modified… once you install a plugin -> ‘Custom Posts Per Page’ – http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/custom-posts-per-page/
In the settings for this plugin, which are located on the plugin page next to it’s name once you activate it, there will be two columns of numbers on top each showing 10, and two columns on bottom, all showing 0s. The first column represents number of posts to show on the first page if there are multiple pages in pagination. The second column shows how many posts to show in the second, third, fourth, etc.. of pagination (if there is that many).
So put 100 i guess in Archive first column since I didn’t see an option for unlimited. Placing a 0 means to ignore setting, you can try putting -1 in there, which may work as unlimited.
