    When the portfolio items is set to be opened on the same page when someone clicks a portfolio item (AJAX) the title of the portfolio page will run over its margins and into the content. Especially if the title contains a word with more letters than what will fit the width of the title area…

    This is the case If the portfolio layout is set to “Text below Fullsize image”.

    If the portfolio layout is set to “Text right to small image”, letters of long words will actually be cut and show half words…

    Is it possible to have a CSS code that will scale the title of portfolio items to fit the available space in the title area?

    Hey thoddi,

    Do you have a link where we can take a look at an example? I don’t have as many examples set up with the new theme so its helpful to see them live.

    Thanks Devin, I have turned off the maintenance plugin for a while. Please have a look here: http://scoopet.net/

    Hey!

    Try to add following code to css/custom.css:

    .title_container h1.main-title {
    word-wrap: break-word;
    }

    Hmmm, that didn’t do the trick, but maybe I will need to do a manual line break in words longer than the available title area will allow? I was kind of hoping for a percentage scaling feature that would make the titles auto-fit…

    Hey!

    Afaik the text-size property does not support % values and the surrounding div/container is already optimized for the fluid layout.

    Oh, I noticed that it works now… Must have been some cache yesterday that prevented me from seeing the change. Is there a way to control how the words break? As it is now, it breaks the words in odd places (at the last letter and so) … Could it be coupled to the language files so that it uses some sort of correct break of word?

    I use a nb_NO (Norwegian) that I have translated myself.

    Hi thoddi,

    Not that I know of no. The declaration is new with css3 and the can really only do break-word and normal it seems.

    See: http://www.w3schools.com/cssref/css3_pr_word-wrap.asp

    Regards,

    Devin
