Portfolio Grey Option Not Working

   I know I've seen another thread about this but that person didn't want that option. They were asking how to turn it off completlety or something.

   I like the Grey option on the thumbnails and how they turn to color on the active one.

   My problem is that it doesn't work on all of my thumbnails. Its kind of random as to whether or not it will show up Grey on them.
   So here is what I've done and how I'm checking on it before I made this post.

   I made ALL thumbnails the exact same size and format. I tried both JPG & PNG has my formats to test.
   All of my portfolio items are videos on Vimeo.

   Now testing on IE & Firefox & Chrome the Grey option doesn't show up on ALL thumbnails when I turn it on.

   I would really like to see this featuring working but right now I have to turn it OFF because it doesn't work on ALL thumbnails.

   Does this post make sense? The Grey overlay on portfolio items doesn't work. It only will put a Grey overlay on some of the thumbnails in my portfolio.

   I have 12 items and some are still in color while other have the Grey overlay.

   So this doesn't work like it should. Can someone check on this.

   Hi jdgunn,

   You might need to re-generate the thumbnail images with: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/

   Also, make sure you've downloaded and uploaded the newest version of the theme available from themeforest. There have been quite a few bug fixes and I know that one of the fixes specifically dealt with the grayscale portfolio options.

   I just purchased this theme less than 2 weeks. So if that one I just bought isn't the latest that would be strange. Is there somewhere that list's the version number?

   This plugin you your talking about is for re-generation thumbnails if you change your master size settings in wp or if you change image sizes but kept the same name.

   All of my images were created to the same size to eliminate these problems. I tried two common formats png & jpg.

   I'd rather not have to use this re-generate plugin since I have a lot of times in my media library and would take a while for the script to run through them.

   What is the most current Version for this theme? I'd like to check that number first before I try another plugin.

   Version 1.2.0

   Is this the latest? If not how do I get the latest

    Hello,

    That is the latest version. Please try to download it again then setup a new wordpress installation.

    I installed Choices theme twice and setup the portfolio and the greyscale thumbnails work 100% fine. :)

    This is a brand new wordpress install. I'm starting a new site from scratch.

    I tried the suggestion of using that plugin to regenerate thumbnails and that did not work either.

    So this grey feature just doesn't work properly.

    Hi jdgunn,

    If you are working with a Dynamic Template, you might also need to remove the Portfolio elements from the template then save and finally re-add the portfolio element to the template and save again.

    You might also need to disable any other plugins currently running on your site to make sure there are no conflicts with the theme code.

    If the grayscale feature is still not working correctly it would be the first time I've encountered it having such on and off results so we would like to figure out the cause. If you can send me the link to your site that will definitely help in trying to diagnose what is going on.

    I'm not using a Dynamic Template. Just a fullpage no sidebar.

    The only plugins I'm using are:
    Post Types Order - which I was told to use it here in the forum to even be able to arrange the portfolio properly
    Easy Digital Downloads

    That's it. I can not go without Easy Digital Downloads so if that plugin is causing a problem then I will have to live with it.

    I have the Grey Option OFF now because it just doesn't work.

    Hi jdgunn,

    I believe this was fixed in v1.3 of the theme. You can download the update through your downloads on themeforest.

    You may need to turn off/on the settings or re-add the portfolio item to your specific page to get things to take effect with the fix.

    Just installed the latest which it says v1.4.

    Anyway, it didn't work. I still have the same problem.
    Here are the steps I followed:
    I first of all unpublished my page.
    deleted the portfolio
    Updated all the files via FTP to overwrite everything since the theme inside wordpress didn't have an update option.

    Then republished my page
    then added a new portfolio after to my page

    Same problem, only some images are grey while others are still in color.
