I am trying to add a link to a video that is hosted elsewhere on a portfolio post.
When I added the link to the video in the portfolio lightbox area (for a video from http://animoto.com), a popup error message displayed that said the path was incorrect, and it wouldn’t play the video.
When I went in tried adding an iframe to the link, it seemed like it was going to play at first, but then a page on the Animoto website loaded saying that the path was wrong. This is the link I tried:
http://animoto.com/play/ti17RA1Rki70XHS9UOfFTA + ?iframe=true&width=400&height=200
The video link is this:
I also just tried adding a YouTube video (both with the share and the full embed code) and neither of those worked, either. So I guess I can’t get any video to play in the lightbox section of the portfolio items.
I am running the latest version of WordPress and Avisio.
Can someone help me? Thanks!June 30, 2011 at 8:50 am #47668
according to the documentation: http://www.no-margin-for-errors.com/projects/prettyphoto-jquery-lightbox-clone/ only youtube, vimeo, flash and quicktime elements are supported. I never used animoto and I’m not sure if they support iframe embedding. The iframe code itself is correct – it should look like:
<a href="http://www.twitter.com?iframe=true&width=400&height=200" rel="prettyPhoto[iframes]">Twitter.com </a>June 30, 2011 at 2:16 pm #47669
Gotcha, thank you. I also tried embedding a YouTube link and it isn’t working, either. Here is the page:
I am using this YouTube video to test with:
I tried embedding the link above, and also tried embedding it as an iframe:
<iframe width=”425″ height=”349″ src=”http://www.youtube.com/embed/LoXtiJPDzOU” frameborder=”0″ allowfullscreen></iframe>
But it still isn’t working. When I embed the link it says the path is incorrect. When I embed the iframe, a white window pops up but the video doesn’t display. Please advise.

Can you post a link to your website please . -aybe the embed link isn’t correct. If the link itself is correct it’s a problem/bug with the lightbox or the service doesn’t allow iframes…July 1, 2011 at 4:59 pm #47671
Sure – it’s for this page:
