I have tried checking through the forum on themeforest to no avail. So sorry if you have answered this before.
I want to control the link on the portfolio page. So when a user clicks on a thumbnail I want to direct them to a page within the site. instead of a bigger image - turning off the lightwindow.

in templte portfolio.php change line 45 to match this snippet:

of course. if you use a custom field with the name "new_link" and add the link value you can retrieve this value in your template file directly above the link output:
$link = get_post_meta($post->ID, "new_link", true);
then replace get_permalink() in the snippet above with $link
