    Can you point me to where I would adjust the opacity of the black overlay which shows up over thumbnails & post images? Ideally I’d like perhaps 20-30% black rather than the current 80%

    Not sure if this is an easily accessible fix. I can adjust the javascript if necessary, but I cannot find where it is being controlled.

    (I love the theme by the way)

    Hey AlliantStudios,

    Try adding the following CSS to your Quick CSS (located under the Styling Tab in the theme options) or the custom.css file in the css folder of your theme files:

    .image_overlay_effect {
    background-color: rgba(0,0,0,0.3);

    The 0.3 should put you at 30%.

    Thanks so much Devin.

    Your solution almost worked. I needed to add:

    .csstransforms .image_overlay_effect {background-color: rgba(0,0,0,0.3);}

    (it needed greater specificity to override the original style … but you helped me find the style. Thanks so much!)

    Glad you were able to finish it ;)

    You can also almost always use #top in Kriei’s themes before a class to give it priority too. Just in case there are other areas with a similar structure that don’t take the opacity from this css.
