Portfolio sort function not working

Hi there,

This is the website I am talking about: http://www.jewelwindows.com.au/gallery/

When we originally set up this website we only had one gallery with one category of images. The client now wants some images from an event they held displayed. I have tried quite a few options but the only thing that partially works is having one gallery with multiple categories selected. This would be fine if the "sort" function actually worked so people could view the gallery images they want. The issue is this "sort" header doesn't display.

I did not set this website up, a partner did (and he is away), so I am unsure of whether I am missing a particular setting or if something important was deleted or added to the code.

I tried finding the problem but had no success so I was wondering if you can help me out. If you need more details (like login) just let me know.

Hi Melissa,

As far as I know Brightbox does not come with the ability to sort portfolio pages. See the demo: http://www.kriesi.at/themes/brightbox/portfolio/

If you can point me to where the theme says it has sorting for the portfolio I can try and figure out where the issue is.

Hey!

Brightbox does not offer a sortable portfolio feature (please compare the demo page: http://www.kriesi.at/themes/brightbox/portfolio/ and feature list of the theme).

Thank you for the quick replies.

According to the Brightbox theme options this option is available:

"You can select multiple categories here. The Portfolio Page that you choose below will then show all posts from those categories, along with a sort option for each category."

Just so you know, I am happy to either have all images in one gallery with a sort function or have two galleries - one with one category, one with the other.

If the sort option is not available, some help setting up multiple galleries (listed as a key feature so I know this is definitely available for this theme) would be appreciated. When I try setting this up, I only get one item showing up in the details section rather then the portfolio overview (overview = images, details = one image with date and other details).

Please add two or more images to a portfolio entry to show a slideshow instead of a single image. You can also activate/deactivate the autorotation feature. Portfolio overview pages will show the first featured image of the portfolio entry only and they don't support slideshows for each entry at the moment. All single portfolio entries support a single image or slideshows with an unlimited number of slides. To add another image click on the green "Plus" symbol in the right bottom corner of the "Add featured media" field.
