    hello, I love your theme.

    I was wondering if there is a way to change the way the thumbnails are shown in the portfolio, i don’t want them to be squares, i want them to be the full image (proportionally smaller of course) but the full image and not cropped into a square.

    I am displaying art and when I use the portfolio the squares crop the hears of my subjects. so the portfolio doesn’t have the same impact.

    please help.

    thanks

    Hey,

    wordpress resizes all images to the required thumbnail sizes. All portfolio images are cropped by default. You can try to deactivate the cropping by changing following line in function.php:

    $avia_config['imgSize']['portfolio'] 		 	= array('width'=>465, 'height'=>346);

    to:

    $avia_config['imgSize']['portfolio'] 		 	= array('width'=>465, 'height'=>346, 'crop'=>false);

    Afterwards regenerate the thumbnails with: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/

    I’m not sure if this solves your issue – but it’s the only option I’m aware which allows you to affect the thumbnail generation (aspect ratio).
